statement of faith

We Believe.

We believe the most important question we need to answer is “Who do you say Jesus Christ is?” (Luke 9:20)

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to the earth in power and glory to rule over the nations.

We believe that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6)

We believe that “salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to man by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

We believe “if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8)

We believe “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

We believe that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” and can fully redeem and powerfully use even those who consider they have been “the worst.” (1 Timothy 1:15)

We believe God “is patient, not wanting any to perish but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

We believe that all scripture is “inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe that victorious Christianity is only possible by absolute dependency in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. "For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His resurrection life."(Rom 5:10)

We believe that we are called to live a life of "faith from start to finish" (Romans 1:17).  The initial saving faith placed in our crucified Christ, and an active believing faith in our risen Christ each and every moment of our lives.

We believe and are “convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
