Seeing God.

Your faith, your seeing God, it's a reaching for more than you can grasp. More than you could ever grasp or achieve or understand on your own, ever.

Because it's keeping the largeness and the fullness and the awe of God Almighty forever before you. Your choice to look up, moment by moment. To agree that God is enough, like He says He is. To decide His Truth is right, His promises are true, His Life is all you need. Your active decision, to see God, to know God, to believe God. It's a reaching.

And that's how it's supposed to be. Your life of faith. Your walk of faith. It's supposed to stretch you and grow you and bring you to such a place of knowing that it's all Him and none of you. This life. Your life. It's all about Him, and none about you. It is.

And so you see that your ability to see God is really not your ability at all. It's becoming as a child. Pure and simple. It's letting go of all your abilities, to choose to see Him Who is faithful. It's giving up all your rights and your ideas and your plans, and choosing to see Him Who is sovereign, over it all, anyways. It's choosing Him, choosing to see Him.

And when once you see God, everything else pales in comparison. It does. Everything does. There is no comparison to Almighty God, nor will there ever be, and your vision of God, your eyes for God, is what will keep you there, in awe of the sovereign Almighty God Who calls you His friend.

"No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you." - John 15:15
