When it Happens.
What do you do when it happens? When what you do not like happens, to you, around you, right in front of you. When it happens, out of your control. What do you do?
And you do not like it. Because it brings out the worst in you. It causes you to do what you do not like. And you see in you the things that you do not like, every time it happens.
So what do you do?
Do you run away from it? Do you lash out in anger towards it? Does it irritate, does it frustrate, you? Do you fight back against it, so as to somehow stop it, to try to prevent it from causing those emotions of fear to rise up in you, making you do what you do not like?
Because it controls you. And you fear it. So what should you do?
To loosen those chains of fear, to no longer be controlled by those emotions, doing what you do not like. To see the salvation of the LORD. To find shelter in the shadow of His wings. To live in the Holy Spirit. What should you do?
"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" - Psalm 46:10
Yes, what you should do, it becomes all you can do.
Because in those moments, when the emotions run their wildest, and the tempest roars its fiercest, right from within your very soul, there is only one thing you can do. To walk free of what threatens to control you, there is only one thing you can do. Be still and know, God is.
And those moments, that used to be feared, by you, they become your reminder. Your reminder to be still and to know, the LORD, He is God. To know God is God. To wait and see the salvation of the LORD, in your life.
To know when it happens, the LORD has already won the battle!
