What is Holding you Back?

What keeps you from Christ? From calling out, "God, I need You!"? What holds you back? From coming to Him?

Because don’t you know? What holds you back is what Christ came to conquer, in you. It's true. It's what Christ rose victorious over the grave to conquer, for you. It's true. So you can have unhindered access to God Himself, so you can gain Christ, so you can have life with Him.

And when you hesitate, when you hold back. When you stop coming to Christ, it's always because there is something you fear. There is something causing you to fear. So that you dread the thought of coming to Christ, because you fear coming as you are, right now, with all your mess, with all your inadequacies, with all your not having done enough's. You fear and you dread coming to Christ, as you are.

But that something that’s holding you back from Christ. That something, whatever it is. Your past, your regrets, your present situation, your ruined life, your deep shame, your mess. Whatever it is. You can know, that that’s why Christ came. He came to conquer that something in you. And the good news is He came victorious! He came already victorious over that something in your life. He did. And it is finished! It's true!!

Now you, walk in freedom.

Ready to believe. Ready to step out, trusting God, that His Son's death and resurrection was and is and always will be enough for you to have abundant life. You walk, where you are, as you are, by faith. Ready. For that is all that is required.

And whatever that something is that's holding you back, from Christ. Whatever it is you fear, you cast it onto Christ, you drag it out into the open and give it to Christ. You bring it to the Light. For freedom's sake, that's all you can do. For Life's sake, that's all you can do.

It is all you must do. That's it.

Now step out in faith that Christ is enough to take care of that something that causes you to fear. So you can walk unhindered with Christ and Christ alone. So you can gain Christ as your Friend and your Redeemer, as your very Life.

Because that's why Jesus came. For you, so you could have Him, the resurrected Christ, in your life! For life is to gain Christ, amidst all that is wanting to hold you back.
