And You See

So you see it, even if just partially, still you see it. What God has put before you. What God is asking of you. And, what God is providing for you. In His way, by His leading, for His glory. You see just glimpses of it, glimpses of all that He has promised. To you.

That He is with you (Matthew 28:20).

That He is for you (Romans 8:31).

That He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

That He looks after you (Genesis 16:13).

That He loves you (1 John 3:1).

That He provides for you (Genesis 22:14).

That He is your Strong Tower (Proverbs 18:10).

That He is the Way (John 14:6).

That He is a Banner over you (Exodus 17:15; Song of Solomon 2:4).

But to step out in faith? To do what He has asked of you here in the seen, when you have only a glimpse of understanding? To say yes, when you see only the start, not the outcome? To believe God in this matter, when you've only been told of His promises for you?

Really? God, is that really what You ask?

Because what you see and what you seek, they are vastly different. They are. So it is hard. It is hard to do when you cannot see the outcome. It is hard to believe when you are stepping into the unknown, trying to trust. It is simply just hard.

So you ask for only the seen, for only the silver and the gold. When all that God has to give you, all that God is able to give you, and so longs to give you, is so much better. So much better than the seen.

And in the intensity of the moment, in the despair of the breaking, in the weeping of the hurt, that is when you see it, again. Again, you see it. That glimpse of God.

For the seen fades for what it's worth, temporary, fleeting, gone in an instant, never yours to keep. And what you were seeking for all along, it comes into view. Like a ray of hope, an eternal glimpse of God's promises, for you. God Himself. Just for you.

And see that what you were really seeking for all along, anyways, always, was God's so much better. All along.

So you are able to step forward, able to believe, able to receive all that God has intended for you. Because of your glimpse of God Himself in all His promises for you.

"Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built." - Luke 6:46-48
