Always Proof

It’s hard, so hard. It is. You know it. Again and again, you know it. Every painful memory and frustrating reminder. Every entrenched habit and strong addiction. They make it so hard.

And when it’s so hard, you ask, “What’s the proof? Where’s the proof? That Jesus saves. Where is it? The proof that Jesus came for me?” Because it’s just so hard. It is.

And when everything inside of you wants to shout back, “It’s not working. I’m not improving. It’s not getting better.” When you’re there, where the voice of defeat shouts louder than the Voice of truth. And it is just so hard. When you need proof, some sort of proof that Jesus saves.

Do not forget. There’s always proof. Always.

The cross is the proof. Do not forget.

The cross that Jesus died on is proof that He saves.

Yes. The cross where Jesus died. Where He died so you could live. The cross where He gave His life for you. Where every sin was laid bare, and for each one, Christ Jesus took the punishment. Yes. The cross is proof that Jesus saves. It shows how deep God’s love is. It shows how far and how wide and how high His love is for you. The cross shows it.

How the Father stopped at nothing to call you His child. How He demonstrated to the world your great value and worth when He hung there for you. Making a way for you. So He could have you. So you could be in relationship with Him once again. Relationship with your loving Father. Once again. As He intended. As He longs for.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!…” (1 John 3:1)

Because He loves you.

Demonstrated on the cross (Romans 5:8), the very proof that Jesus saves because He loves. Yes, there is always proof. Jesus saves right here, right now. Right when you need it, in the very thing that is just so hard. Jesus saves. Because He loves.

And nothing else is needed.

So enter now into the depths of His love for you. Right now. In that hard thing, come to Jesus. And watch how He saves you!!

“May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions! Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” - Psalm 20:5-7 ESV
