Yours to Receive

That day comes. Those days come. When there’s no doubt that everything is out of your hands. Every single event and circumstance, one after another. You can tell it, they are all out of your control.

Because life was never yours to control; it was only yours to receive.

When every situation and unknown comes. When every fear and doubt follow. And life feels far away. Remember, life is yours to receive. To simply receive. Again and again.

The Life that died for you is the very Life He promised to give, to those who would receive. Amen! Christ’s very Life, the Bread of Life and Living Water, the Prince of Peace and LORD of Lords. His Life was meant for you to receive! To simply receive.

So when you don’t know what to do because everything is coming at you, and you can’t see past right now because right now is blinding you. The only way to receive life is to keep your eyes on Christ, the One Who is Life.

Yes, when you’re stuck in turmoil because everything is so out of control, and you can’t see past the chaos because the chaos is overwhelming you. The only way to receive life, in those moments where life feels so far away and impossible, is by keeping your eyes on Christ.

And the LORD God Almighty, your Stronghold in time of trouble, your Father in time of need, your Comforter in time of fear. He faithfully stands by you and with you, to fight for you not against you, because “…the battle is not yours but God's.” (2 Chronicles 20:15).

Because life was never yours to control; it was only yours to receive, and your God is good, so good. Yes! “The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.” - Nahum 1:7 ESV

So keep your eyes on Christ, and receive life today!
