Like Never Before!

It’ll happen. Like never before. When you’re at the end, finished and done. When you’re in the middle, overwhelmed and heavy. When you’re at the start, eager and ready. It’ll happen, like never before.

God will step in. He has a tendency to do so, you know.

Like never before.

What makes a Sovereign, Almighty God worthy of all our praise and worship is the fact that He steps in in such a way you know He did it just for you. Because it is like never before. Every detail accounted for and every second weighed out. Every concern taken care of and every thought considered. Just for you. Because you matter to Him.

That’s why Jesus came down and was born on this earth. That’s why His life was lived here within the sin and death all around. That’s why He died a criminal’s death. That’s why He rose again, conquering death. That’s why He stepped in and continues to step in.

Because you matter to Him.

And it’ll happen like never before. When you are finished and done, overwhelmed, and feeling heavy, God steps in to lighten the load (Matthew 11:28), finish the battle (John 19:30), calm the storm (Matthew 8:27), and give you peace (John 14:27) like never before!

Even when you are eager and ready, thinking you have it all together and can fight this fight, still God comes in and shows you more. So much more than the effort and determination. So much more than your ability and preparation. He shows you Himself, like never before, and He shows you yourself, like never before.

Himself as the All-powerful One stooping down in love, and yourself as the cherished one receiving His love. Because you matter to Him, and for no other reason than that.

And the peace and the joy and the strength of the LORD will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus your Lord.

When God steps in like never before!
