Obedience by Sacrifice.

Because faith lived-out is always a matter of obedience. It is your obedience that confirms your allegiance. It is your obedience that tells in Whom you trust, in Whom you put your faith.

And obedience that starts with faith has but one outcome, every time. Every time obedience begins with faith, sacrifice happens, and praise is the result. Every time.

For sacrifice is really a surrender. And when surrender happens, when you surrender your one life to Him. And in your surrendering, He becomes to you, your Lord and your God. Then you know. The surrender of your one life as being crucified with Christ, recognizing that you no longer live. The surrender of your one life as being lived out only by faith in Christ, recognizing Christ's Lordship of your life. It is a sacrifice of praise.

Surrendering all the time. Sacrificing all the time. Acknowledging Christ as Lord of your life. All the time. It is a sacrifice.

And it is an abiding. The constant sacrifice of self to acknowledge God as your LORD. It is an abiding. Simple abiding. Glorious abiding!

And obedience happens because obedience becomes a pure delight. Never demanded. Never obligated. Without any expectations or required behaviour. Only simply to come to the Father, as a child of His. Simply to come and to abide. In the Light, to abide. And obedience is. Because sacrifice is. Because praise is.

Come to the altar of faith, where your obedience, the sacrifice of self, is a sacrifice of praise, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
