The Mystery of Christ.
The greatest words to come from you, a child of God: "I can't do it!" Because that is when it's possible for you to let God take over.
And we strive and we fret and we control. All the while, God is calling His children to come, to Him. For He is in control. Nothing is impossible with Him. His burden is easy and His yoke is light. And He calls, "Come to Me."
Yet we still feel like it takes some figuring out. Our journey of faith. Trying to get it right. Trying to work it out. To learn how and when. To have the answers. To know the outcomes. To be a follower of Christ, correctly. And we strive, to be. To be, we strive. Because when the trials come, and we fail, we question. We try to undertand.
How is it that something so simple is so hard to understand?
How is it that something so backwards is actually reality?
How is it that something so impossible is really possible?
How, LORD? How?
But it's not supposed to be figured out. Or measured for success. Or solved for the answers. The mystery of Christ is Christ. And apart from Christ, it cannot be figured out. It will not make sense in your human understanding. And that's okay. Not understanding your journey of faith is okay. In fact, it is good. It is how it's supposed to be.
Because it's supposed to be just Christ. Being a follower of Jesus Christ is being, with Jesus. All the time. And being is only hard and backwards and impossible when you step in to try to figure it out.
And your weaknesses become means to set you free. From yourself. Your strivings become means to redirect you. Back to Him. Your worries and frets and anxiety attacks become reminders. Of His faithfulness. Of Him.
For when we crumble under the weakness of our flesh, again and again, that is when we seek. Christ. When we strive and tire and fail, that is when we remember. Christ. When we fall apart in fear, that is when we recognize our need. Christ. Who is grace and mercy and peace. Who loves you. As you are. His child.
And it happens, everytime. Everytime you seek, you remember, you need, Christ. It happens. A softening, of heart and soul. And a knowing, a peace, a joy, of the LORD.
And His purpose is done, in you.
