When the Sorrow Comes.
"...Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?..." - Mark 3:4
When the sorrow comes. The sorrow from the regrets you have, the guilt you carry, the pain you've experienced and caused. Because the sorrow comes. The regret and the guilt and the hurt, it does all rise up within you, from within your very soul, the depths of sorrow, it comes. And it comes only to destroy life.
But, there is One Who made this day a day to save life. Your life. The sorrow, yes, it comes to destroy life, but there is One Who came, to save life. To save your life.
Because in the sorrow, and because of the sorrow, you decided to look up. And receive. You decided to see your need. And acknowledge. Him. The risen Saviour of your life!
For Jesus, He came. To save you, to save your life. Here and now.
Good news! The Saviour of the world came! Your Saviour came, to heal you. As you are - guilty and full of regrets, full of pain and sorrow, He came to heal you, as you are. Because He loves you, as you are. Good news!
"...Then they all praised God. 'We've never seen anything like this before!' they exclaimed." - Mark 2:12
And that is the only response possible. To praise, to worship, your risen Saviour. Because He lives to give you life, His life, abundantly and victoriously. Right here and right now.
Complete healing.
Completely undeserved.
Overwhelming grace and mercy.
Overwhelmingly more than enough.
It's true. Christ Jesus is enough to save life. To save your life. Here and now.
