Between a Rock and a Hard Place.

When it feels like you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. Between the Rock and your hard place, that place that won't let go, of you, that tags along, beside you. Your flesh, that bad habit, that wrong attitude, your mind-set and the deed you do that you hate. It is your hard place.

And when you are stuck between the Rock, Jesus Christ, and your hard place, it's true, it is a good place to be. And it is exactly how God intended it.

Because there is nothing like your hard places for pressing you in so closely, so tightly to Jesus Christ, to the Rock.

So when you feel stuck between a rock and a hard place, praise God for bringing you back to Him. Praise God for making you feel stuck, done with your own efforts, at the end of your own resources, completely puzzled by your own understanding. Praise God! For the only way out is by clinging to the Rock, being one with Christ, as He has already created you anew to be.

And you will begin to see Christ soften every hard place, as He removes all the high places in you, and cleans out His temple, slowly, but surely and definitely and forever.

So that you can be surely and definitely and forever His. As He intended, for you.
