The Difference of the Cross
It's the difference between pride and humility. One thing. Only one. It's the Cross. The Cross is the difference. The difference between pride and humility. Every time.
For it's pride that tries to cover up shame.
It's pride that works hard to achieve life.
It's pride that strives for recognition and value.
For it's only ever pride that seeks for a way other than Christ. Because pride always removes the Cross, dethroning Christ. Every time.
Only humility accepts the Cross.
For it's humility that allows for vulnerability
It's humility that lets go to receive life.
It's humility that stops trying and simply rests.
For it's only ever humility that depends on the Way, on Christ Jesus. Because humility always paves the way to the Cross, enthroning Christ. Every time.
Every time works of the law are replaced with faith, pride is replaced with humility.
And Jesus Christ is proclaimed as the Way.
For humility keeps you there. It keeps you depending, by faith, on Christ. The only Way and Truth and Life. All through the Cross.
And Christ is enthroned as the Way in your life.
