Nothing In the Way

When the Lord catches your attention, when He pulls you to His side. And He takes hold of you, so as to gently remind you. Of that thing that you won't let go of. That thing that is standing in the way of you and Him. That sin. That you've put aside, so as to not deal with and to not have to work through. Because you don't want to. Because it is hard, oh, so hard. To face.

But when the Lord doesn’t give up on you. When He doesn’t stop calling you. To catch your attention. Until He has all of you. Because you mean that much to Him.

And you finally hear it. You hear His reminder that you are grieving His Spirit with that thing, with that sin. So you know His call is for you, to bring it to Him. To present it to Him as an offering of praise. An offering of surrender. An offering of self. To let go of all control, of it.

When you hear Him calling you. Do not hesitate. Simply come. Do not harden. Simply come to Him. And do not stop coming to Him.

It's your turning around, it's your repentance. It's your running to the Lord, declaring He is your Lord!

And He will take you, your life, your self. And He will work. As only He can. He will fight to set you free. Without you. Yes, without you, but always for you. And in and around and through you. He will work! Because the battle belongs to the Lord. Yes! He will fight for you, if you let Him.

So stay there, surrendered to Him, close to Him. Do not stop coming to Him.

It is the only way to live. It's the only way to live abundantly. A life that is surrendered, resurrected, forgiven, and held tightly in the arms of Jesus. With nothing in the way of you and Him. Complete unity with Christ. Life Abundant!
