Faith In the Right Now

Do not lose heart.

Because it’ll happen in the subtlest way. When your belief, when your faith, when your salvation is always ahead of you. Yes, you, Child of God, when your way of believing is ahead of your right now. It'll happen. You will lose heart.

Because a future promise, a reward to come, a hope for tomorrow. Only goes so far. When the immediate right-now surrounds and overwhelms and consumes you.

So you lose heart. In the now.

But, do not forget, your choice, your yes, your faith, as small as a mustard seed, for your initial salvation. It is also enough for the hand of God to reach down for you. Right now. It is also enough for Him to show Himself to you. Right now. Because He is enough for the right now, for you.

The right now. Where Christ consumes and surrounds and overwhems, you. Instead of the immediate right-now. And salvation is. Because Christ is, right now.

So don’t lose heart.

It’s only in the trials and the hurts and the troubles of the immediate right here and now. That your personal belief and faith are established. And it’s only by faith that your salvation is. For faith breeds intimacy with Christ. And intimacy is always in the right-now. In the closeness of each moment with Him. Only there. Only now.

So that your hope for tomorrow and every promise and reward to come. No longer become the focus. Only the presence of your Saviour. Only the closeness of your Friend. Only the intimacy of your God. Right now.

All by faith.

And life happens. Where your trusting becomes as simple as breathing. Because you are breathing in faith. Faith for right now. It’s all you can do. It’s all you must do. Never putting your faith, your belief, your salvation ahead of you. But always keeping it close at hand, so that Christ becomes as close as your next breath, for right now. For even today!

Where He is yours and you are His, right now!

“May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make his permanent home) in your hearts!...” - Ephesians 3:17 Amp

“...what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, ...O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” - Psalm 8:4-6, 9

“So I ask you not to lose heart ...which is your glory.” - Ephesians 3:13
