Backwards Into Him

Those backwards steps you are taking, and those backwards steps you fear to take, what if they are really a stepping forward, into Him? What if what feels backwards to you is really a going forward, and what causes fear in you is really an opportunity for you to go forward, into Him?

Because really, when your steps are backwards and feel all wrong for they are not going as you wanted. When your steps are fearful and unknown to you. When you doubt and you doubt and you doubt again. That’s always when you are able to go forward into Christ. Always.

Yes, any wobbly, uncertain step of a child of God. Any fearful circumstance and doubtful opportunity that feels to be pulling you backwards and holding you back. That feels so backwards. It is always a learning to walk by faith, and faith is always a stepping forward into Christ.

Where your emotions must be silenced. Because those feelings, they can’t tell why. They can’t tell how. They can’t tell more of the depths of the purposes of God. In your life. No, they can’t.

So what feels all wrong and backwards and not right. What feels like the complete wrong direction for your life. Let it feel what it feels.

Into that decision for Christ, into that step of faith.

Because when your heart is His, oh child of God, when you are His. Then you are exactly where you’re supposed to be, doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing, being exactly who you’re supposed to be. Yes, a child humbly seeking their Father will never be led astray.

Never.

So what if you gotta do what feels backwards before any steps forward can happen? What if?

Would you then trust? Could you trust? To step into in the unknown? Would you then believe? Could you believe in so much more? So much more than what is seen, than what is felt, than what is known? The so much more of God!

Because He is able, in you. To do more. And to be more. In every step, forward or back. Because your step of faith always leads you forward, into Him!
