Made Clean!

The thought of being unclean. The fear of doing wrong, of not impressing, of failing and not measuring up. And thus, being as filthy rags, in the eyes of the only One Who matters, God Almighty. It debilitates you.

Because, really, that is the real stumbling block. Not the fear of measuring up to people. But the deep-down fear of not measuring up to God.

And thus being unacceptable to Him.

But, Christ, He came to take all that away, for you. To make you right and clean and acceptable to God Almighty. He did. And He meant it. So much so that it cost Him His life. It's obvious, He meant it. He meant to do for you what He knew you could not do for yourself. He meant it. It's true.

Because you mean that much to Him.

It was His free, sovereign choice to set you free. It was His definitive, powerful plan to heal you fully. It was His powerful, forgiving grace to make a way available to you. Apart from anything you could ever offer.

By giving His life for you, taking your penalty, so that He could give His life to you. His life, living in you and through you. Amazing grace!

You, made clean, as white as snow! Before God Almighty. Accepted fully, loved completely, redeemed wholly. It liberates you!

"Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool." - Isaiah 1:18
