Your Resurrected Past

When Jesus Christ resurrects your past. Because that is what He does. To bring healing. To bring restoration. To bring life. To you. He does it.

And when He brings it, your resurrected past, to your wandering thoughts, to your thought-full mind, to your mind-full life. Let it come, with Christ, only with Christ. And let your response, let it overwhelm you.

Because a resurrected past is only ever the result of a crucified past. A past that's been crucified with Christ, and risen again with Christ. Resurrected. Anew.

And your past, when resurrected with Christ, it will no longer haunt, it will no longer weigh down, it will no longer bring death, to you. For it can't. It's true.

When you are running to Christ, and abiding in Christ.

It can't.

Because in Christ, you can go to your past with Him, and see how all things were covered by Him. How every circumstance and trial and hardship was with Christ. By your side. And every real threat and real danger was really blocked by Christ. As your shield. And you see, for that's when you see, how everything of Christ is peace and joy and rest. Everything. Even your past.

So when Christ brings to you, your past rememberings, your forgotten past, your haunting past, your plain old past. Undesirable. Unedited. Unnoticed. But now, resurrected.

Yes, when Christ brings to you your resurrected past, and you rest in Him, your reaction will overwhelm you. It will. How there is peace and joy. Where there used to be heaviness and anger. How there is calm and rest. Where there used to be anxiety and fear. How there is rest for your soul.

Because you know that Christ has brought the healing. Christ has brought the restoration. Christ has brought the life, to you. It is His life! A resurrected life!

And you know that Christ has won the victory! Yes, you know, Christ has been crowned King! In your one life, past and present.

For you see Christ, and you know Christ. That Christ has won! Every time. All the time. Even in your remembering time. For Christ has done it, He has resurrected your past!
