Running to Christ
You keep running to Christ. Again and again. Over and over.
"Lord, I can't! You have to do this for me!"
And you keep running. After every failure. Before every threat. In every trial. All you know to do is to run, to Christ.
But the time comes when you question, "Is this enough? Enough to do? Lord, how much longer will I not see the answer? How much longer will this go on for? How much longer must I run, always run, to You?"
Because you tire. Because you fall. Because you see your weakness more and more. Because your need overwhelms you. So you doubt.
You doubt Christ is enough.
And you fall, again. In your own self-efforts, you fall again. But then, you do the only thing you know to do, what you've done before in the past, the only thing you know to do. You run back to Jesus.
Because, deep down, you know it. Christ really does satisfy. That's why you came to Him in the first place. Christ really does save. That's why you believed on Him in the first place. Christ really is enough. Deep down you know it, you proclaim it, you testify to it.
And that's why the struggle.
For your faith to become sight. It is a battle. But a battle that belongs to the LORD. And every time you choose Christ, you have won the battle.
Because you know and you can finally see, that there really is only ever one thing you can never lose in order to have life, and that's Jesus!
And you see how much longer you must run to Jesus. For always and forever!

"For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened... He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight." - 2 Corinthians 5:4-7
"And Jesus said to him, "Recover your sight; your faith has made you well." And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God." - Luke 18:42-43
