Meant For Christ

When those feelings of not enough come, that you haven't done enough, haven’t done well enough, or put in enough. As though it were all up to you to be enough.

Yes, when those feelings come strong and hard, to deter, to depress, to discourage you from doing the next thing that is before you. When they come. And they cause you to hesitate and to doubt and to fear. Know. Know that they come only to destroy.

And know that you were not meant for destruction.

You were meant for life. For life abundant.

That is why Christ came.

So when those feelings come. When those attacks come. When that state of depression with all its weight and heaviness comes. To you. Know you have a real enemy who comes only to kill and to destroy. And know that you cannot defeat this enemy. On your own.

That is why Christ came. Because He knows you can't win this battle for life. On your own. Because He knows the enemy is very real. To you.

But Christ also knows that next to Him, the enemy is no threat, against Him, the enemy is already defeated. It's true. And in Christ, you are victorious. It's true. Christ's risen, victorious, eternal, abundant life, it is yours. That first moment you believed, it was yours. And it still is. Yours.

So in those times of depression when those feelings of not-enough rise within you. That's the moment to decide, right there, in the moment, for Christ, Who is always enough. So you can stand knowing Christ is the Victorious One in you. Because you have said yes to Christ.

For knowing and experiencing Christ's risen, victorious life in you, it is a choice, by faith. To do the next thing that is before you, knowing Christ is for you and not against you. To believe that Christ, Who is your Saviour and your God, has already defeated the one who comes only to kill and destroy you.

And your step of faith in your risen Saviour, your step that declares Christ is enough for your not-enoughs, it is your choice for life and not death. To receive life here and now. From Christ. In Christ.

That is why He came. For you. To give you life, His Life, Life Everlasting.

Because you were meant for Christ.
