So That a Life Declares
"But what does it mean?" you ask, "To be in Christ? What does it mean?"
And you ponder it.
And it is good.
To question, to ponder. It. Before God.
To wonder, to doubt. It. Before God.
To ask God. About it.
Again and again.
It is good.
So you can know and doubt no more. It.
So you can be sure of and rest in. It.
So you can be assured. The Reality of it.
The Reality of Christ's Life. In you.
Because when a heart truly seeks. When a soul desperately longs to know. And asks of God, again and again. Then God reveals. Truth. He does. Every time.
So what does it mean to be in Christ? Can anyone answer that? Can anyone?
Not by words. For only the Word of God by the Spirit of God breathes Christ.
Not by visible signs. For only faith brings righteousness in Christ.
Not by demonstrations. For only quietness and trust reveals Christ's life abundant.
Not by striving. For only in seeking is Christ found.
And you find the answer cannot be explained. It can only be lived out. For when a life is lived out in Christ, God's Presence reveals the answer. Over and over.
That being in Christ is a regular, ordinary life, full of everything that life on earth gives, but when lived in Christ, is a life that reveals the One Who is Life, over and over.
So that without even knowing it, a life in Christ declares the answer. Assurance in Christ. Rest in Christ. Peace in Christ. Joy in Christ. Life in Christ.
Because when the temptation comes, a life in Christ flees to the only One Who can save. When the drudgery of the mundane comes, a life in Christ clings to the only One Who gives purpose. When the shock of sudden bad news and the stress of constant bad news wears down, a life in Christ holds fast to the only One Who promises good. To Christ, the very Word of God, Bread of Life, and Promise Keeper.
To Christ Jesus. Who is Life.
