Grace Given
Never given the freedom to move. Let alone breath. Let alone live. Never given the opportunity to live. That is death, when grace is not present.
Because, for life to be, grace must be.
Grace must be. Must be received. But how?
Because a soul can opt out of and not receive the grace given it. It can. And then there is no life, for grace is not present.
So how is grace received?
By acknowledging God's sovereignty. Letting go of control, letting go of the self-added responsibility to make things work. Yes, receiving grace is accepting God's plan for your life, and letting go of trying to change yourself, change your circumstances, change the outcomes. For then is when you begin to rest, as you are. And then, life is given.
And grace is a life-style of letting God be God, and letting you be you. To let you be who God created you to be. Who you are, where you are, as you are. And grace becomes life.
The gospel of grace that redeemed the world through Jesus Christ's death on the Cross, was on purpose to give you life, when you deserved death. Grace for Life. Almighty God wants to give you life, on purpose. His one act of grace gives abundant, eternal life, to all, including you, but only if you would receive.
Only to all who would receive grace, life is given. Only by receiving grace. Yes. Because only grace is life, the grace of God is life. It's true. It's true!
Life is available only because grace was given first. First given at the Cross. First given at the moment of salvation. And given again at the start of each day. At the start of each moment. Again and again. Given. Grace is given. Will you receive it as given for you? Will you receive life today?
"But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" - John 1:12
