Christ Has Done It!

So you've done it. When she needed compassion, you only gave more heartlessness. When he needed joy, you only gave a stark reality of despair. When she needed a reminder of the way to life, you only gave more death. More lifelessness.

And you've done it. Again and again. To them.

But then, you see it. How Christ has done it. When you deserved punishment, He gave you forgiveness instead. When you deserved hopelessness in your fallen state, He gave you mercy beyond comprehension. When you deserved death, He gave you life.

So you see it. Again and again. For you.

Mercy. Grace. Forgiveness. Compassion. Gentleness. Love.

So how can you? How can you, then, take from your fellow brother, your fellow sister? Your fellow heir in Christ. How can you? Take from them life, and give only death in return. Because it's what you do, and you can't help it.

Until, you see Christ.

For when you see the LORD in all His glory and majesty. When you truly see Him, have eyes for Him alone. How He reached down for you. How He called you. How He loved you.

Again and again.

When you see Christ. Then, and only then, can you give the love and compassion He intended for His followers to give, one to another. Then, and only then, can you know the joy of the LORD as your strength and give glory and honour to Him. Then, yes, only then, can you give life, because you know and follow and see the One Who is Life and Light to all. Even you.

Amazing grace! Overwhelming mercy!

Christ has done it!!
