Because Grace Is

Would you believe it? It starts with grace. Your healing, your being made right. It starts with grace. Grace by faith, only. It’s true.

And yet you know it’s the very thing you’ve resisted, right from the start. Doesn’t matter. Grace is. And you know it’s the very thing you have not been able to wrap your mind around, so as to somehow grasp it for yourself, because it feels too far and distant from you. Doesn’t matter. Grace is for you.

Because it’s not of human rationale or wisdom. It’s not to be explained or somehow grasped by human efforts. No. That’s not it, that’s not grace.

Grace, undeserved merit, can only be given. And given things can only ever be received.

Only received. Only given. Only grace. For you.

Grace upon grace. To save, to heal, to be made right before God Almighty. Believe it. It’s true and it’s meant for you. Grace for your doubts, grace for your hesitations, grace for your resisting, grace for your wrong choices. Grace for right now. Grace for you. And healing happens. Every time, because grace is.

The Father has sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world (1 John 4:14). While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). This is love, not that we first loved God, but that He loved us and gave himself up for us (1 John 4:10). All grace. Amen.
