As You Should Be
Speechless before God, you are.
When that shocking thing happens and takes your breath away, and every breath after that feels so forced. When that unknown fear raises its head and you see it for all its worth, how you’ve been captive to its grip, all your life. And then, after the shock, through the fear, when that revelation of God’s love and mercy and grace comes, and His Presence overwhelms, and He becomes all that matters.
In that moment, you stand silenced, speechless.
And all you can do is worship. When His presence overwhelms. Because you see that nothing, abslutely nothing you’ve ever done or could ever do has taken you out of His great plan for you, out of His great purpose for you, out of His great love for you. Absolutely nothing can do it or has done it. Nothing can separate you from Him. Absolutely nothing (Romans 8:38-39).
So you are speechless. As you should be. Before God, speechless. It’s where you are still enough to hear. It’s where you are broken enough to let Him in. It’s where you are surrendered enough to let Him take over, to fight this battle for you, to shine His life through you, to raise you up with Him. Anew, sanctified, holy, righteous. Made clean, made completely new, you are.
And Christ is glorified, in you. As you are, right where you are, as you should be. And you are speechless before Him.
