There is Where

That place of weakness that brings only despair, causing you to run to the Father.

There is where God is making you beautiful.

Because when that despair comes, and you fall again into the frustration and discouragement of it all. And you despair at the despair, and sulk at why it has to be so personal, and so hard.

You can know a good work is happening. There.

Right there, exactly where you are stuck, where you feel the most at despair. At your place of weakness. At your place of need. At your place of knee-bending, all-out surrendering, and all-I-can-do is worship. Right there, where Christ Jesus becomes everything to you.

Where all explanations fail. Where all reasonings fall short. Where your every capability and ability mean nothing.

And you are learning to be okay with it - more than okay. Yes, right there.

Where you know you can’t, but Christ can. And it’s more than okay, because you know Who holds your hand, through it all. You’ve met Him before, on your knees.

There, where you know He doesn’t need your success or your help or your understanding to be lifted high as King of kings and Lord of lords. And it’s more than okay, because you’ve adored Him before, in your desperate state.

Right there, where you know He doesn’t need you to move His heart for you, to make you acceptable or righteous before Him. He simply wants you, as you. And it’s more than okay, because you’ve been loved by Him before, even in your mess.

There is where He is lifted high in you! In your mess and desperation and weakness, Jesus Christ is lifted high. And it’s where He is making you beautiful!
