Nothing Inbetween
Now don’t you let this get inbetween you and Christ. Because it will, if you let it. That fear will. That anxiety will. That frustration and discouragement will. It will work its way inbetween you and your Saviour. And it will cause death to you. It will steal life from you. It will be the end of you.
If you let it.
When dwelt on, and focused on, so as to worry on, you are letting it in. And it’s your letting-in that leads to death. Every time. Because it takes your eyes off of Life, off of Christ, the One Who is Life.
When God has ordained what He has. Every circumstance, every outcome. But remember, His love for each of us, His love for you, is so great the oceans cannot contain it. Death cannot withold it. And this life cannot reduce or replace or distance it, even with its current trials and frustrations and uncertainties. God still loves, and His love is still enough.
For God so loved the whole world that He sent His only Son. For you.
So don’t you let this get inbetween you and Christ.
But keep your eyes on Him, run back to Him. So that you choose Him, and you keep choosing Him. For He is the only Way. Christ Jesus, the Way and the Truth and the Life. Christ Jesus, the Bread of Life, the Living Water, and Light of the World. Christ Jesus, the spotless Lamb of God, Who was slain. For you. The Word made flesh. For you. He is Life.
And He is the Way, so that there would be a way for nothing to get inbetween you and Him.
Because it’s Jesus Who saves. It’s Jesus Who redeems and makes whole. It’s Jesus Who is worthy!
Amidst the crisis.
And your worship of Him pours out. It’s where your intercession for those around you becomes habitual, where self-pity flees. Because all you see is Him. Not the fear that once held you. Not the worry or anxiety that once consumed you. Not the frustrations that resulted. But Christ. You see only Christ!
It’s where death has no hold on you, and life is abundant!

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, "For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:35-39
“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” - Romans 11:36
