Because of Your Weakness
In your weakness, you act and you do. Out of your weakness. Because of your weakness.
And you see how you have failed, how you have fallen from, and disobeyed, your Lord. Because of your weakness, because it controls you. You see it. And you know it. And death comes because of it as your mind drifts to how you should have known better and you could have done better, and oh how you wish you were better.
But, beware! In this is death.
You are thinking that your right decisions and right actions are what make you right and acceptable. You are thinking they are what give you life. But they are not. No! Do not go down that path of self-righteousness.
You are weak. It’s why Christ Jesus came. Because of your weakness.
Remember, too, Christ also came in weakness.
“For he was crucified in weakness, but lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but ...we will live with him by the power of God.” - 2 Corinthians 13:4
Christ Jesus, He came, in weakness, for weakness. To show you the way to live by the power of God.
By making you whole again, in Him.
By making you holy again, for Him.
By making you right again, with Him.
In Him, for Him, with Him. It’s where your weakness no longer has control of you.
For in your falling, you see how you have fallen into dependence on Christ. And it is good. In your failing to achieve, you see how you have surrendered of your trying. And it is good. In your disobedience to Christ, you have repented of your ways. You have come running back to Him. In your weakness, you have. And it is good. Life has come because of your weakness. And, oh, it is so very good!
Christ couldn’t have done it any other way, for you to know Him. It will cause you to praise Him for exactly who you are, where you are, how you are, set apart for Him, by Him! Because of your weakness. In your weakness.
In this is life!
