His Call to No Longer Fear

What if it’s the same struggle popping up in your life, again and again? What if it’s the same bad habit, the same wrong attitude, the same mistake, that you do, again and again?

Would you stop, then, to listen? Would you be still enough, then, in your despair of it, then, to stop? Because then is the time. The time to stop. To be still and to hear His call. To “...Stop at the crossroads and look around...” (Jeremiah 6:16a).

Because He is calling you. The Creator of the universe, Elohim. The LORD, the Great Jehovah. Your Lord and Master, Adonai. God Most High, the sovereign, all-powerful Ruler, El Elyon. The One Who is with you always, and sees all, El Roi. Your Provider, Jehovah-jireh. God Almighty, the One Who is enough for you, El Shaddai. The Great I AM, Jehovah.

He is callng you. He is. From within your struggle. From within that form of slavery that keeps you hostage to its seductive ways. From within all of your despair. He is calling you, then.

So that you will not fear.

“But you, ...whom I have chosen, ...saying to you, ‘You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off’; fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:8-10

He is calling you so that you would no longer fear. Do not be afraid to come to Him.

Because He is with you. You who knows the Cross of Christ for salvation, He is with you. And He will strengthen you. He will uphold you. He will help you. For the God of the universe is calling you, in all of that despair. To choose life again. And it is a crossroads for you, there. Right there from within that despair, a crossroads. Which way will you go? Right or left? Yes or no? Christ or not? What is your choice? The LORD is calling to you to the Cross, asking you to choose life again, “...Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it...” (Jeremiah 6:16b).

And it is the same call, the very same call, for all of us. From the same God, to you, as to any other child of His. To every other child. He’s calling. With the same love, the same forgiveness, the same righteousness, available to you just as to all of us. All through Christ Jesus. So you need not fear.

His death on the Cross. His burial in the grave. His resurrection to life again. Made the way for you, so you could choose life. And His call is always that we would choose life. That you would choose life.

For we all have the same choice to make. The same response to the God of the universe is possible. For you. For us. The same life is available. To you. To us. In your stepping out, in your response to God’s call. The same promise is for you. In your walking to “...Travel its path, ... you will find rest for your souls...” (Jeremiah 6:16c).

Yes, from that call. From that moment you hear His voice. From that place you feel His presence. He will lead. He will guide. He will do immeasureably more than you could ever imagine with your life. From that point of despair in your life, where you stop to hear, and ask to see, Him. Where you choose life in Christ alone. When you stop, to look for Him, to ask for Him, and to travel with Him. It’s where you finally rest, because you no longer fear. In Him.
