Because He Loves You!

Oh, that you would break and surrender. Not remain strong, not keep it all together, not grow more and more perfect. But break. Oh, that you would break, fall apart and lose control, so as to finally surrender.

Surrender to the One Who has this world in the palm of His hand. Who has your life on this earth orchestrated for His purpose of grand music and triumphal procession, all within your surrendered life. Because that’s where His life happens. Yes, within your surrendered life, Christ’s life happens!

It’s true.

In your mistake-filled life, softened by all of them pits of destruction to your soul, through all of them trials in your life threatening chaos in you, because of that death all around you that is just too familiar to you. There is where Christ’s life is seen. Only there. In your stopping to surrender, because of all that breaking. Life happens there.

There, surrendering to all that God allows to come your way. Surrendering to His ways. Surrendering to Him. The Sovereign One Who reigns from heaven above with wisdom and with love.

All because of your breaking, that leads to your surrendering.

It’s where you can fully trust Him. Where you can assuredly rest in Him. And you can abundantly live with Him. Now. Despite the outcomes. Regardless of the fruit. Far from the pursuits of success. Only because of the breaking. Where you can, in Him.

In Christ, Who has rescued you and freed you, demonstrating to you just how valuable you are.

Because your significance to Him had nothing to do with your strength to pull through, or your ability to keep it all together. Your significance has nothing to do with you and everything to do with God, Who created you for glory, in Him. Who created you and valued you beyond measure, before you even took your first breath on this sin-filled world, for Him.

You are of significance in His Kingdom because He loves you. And His life in you is all that matters. Because that is what makes a difference for eternity, and that is what gives fruit for Him - His life revealed through your surrendered life! It’s where He is glorified in and through your one life. Your one, valuable, deeply important, divinely significant, broken and surrendered, amazingly precious life!

The life Jesus loves to be gracious to and show mercy to. Because He loves you!
