The Salvation of Christ

You just want it to be better. And you just want that hard thing to leave.

But, what if that hard thing were it? Were the very means to bring you salvation? To bring you to Salvation, on your knees? What if?

In every tough thing, through every hard thing. In the not-so easy and difficult things, the very things that cause you to bend your knee and look up to the One Who is faithful. What if they were what were needed to bring you to salvation, to the One Who is Salvation?

Because you don’t know what God is doing.

But you do know salvation belongs to Him and all that He is doing is good, so good. Because He is good.

And the abundance you experience, the blessing you receive. The peace and the joy that come. They are, because of the hard things.

It’s true.

Blessing and peace are, because of the tough and not so easy things.

Abundance and joy are, because of the hard and difficult things.

It’s true.

Because when you looked up, you saw it was the difficult thing that molded you for compassion. It was the hard thing that shaped you for endurance. It was the tough and not so easy thing that crafted you for faith, and enabled you for grace. Every time. Because every time it got hard, you saw your need. And every time it got tough, you deep-down knew your need. Oh, you know it! When it gets difficult, you‘ve learned to run to the only One Who can save.

And that is life and abundance and peace and joy. And you are blessed, because instead of drifting from Christ, you clinged tighter to Him, to the One Who is Life and Aundance.

And all of the power and might of God Almighty is yours. In that moment of grace where you learned to receive the salvation of Christ, in every hard thing.

“…’Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.’” - Isaiah 43:1-3 ESV

“Tell everyone about God’s power.
    His majesty shines down on Israel;
his strength is mighty in the heavens.

God is awesome in his sanctuary.
The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people.

Praise be to God!” - Psalm 68:34-35 NLT
