Have You Not Heard?

Oh, child, have you not heard what the sovereign hand of God has done? Have you not heard? That everything has been decided long ago (2 Kings 19:25). That your life, each day of it, was known before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4). That He knit together your very being, masterfully, intricately, beautifully (Psalm 139:13). Have you not heard?

Of the great love of the Father for you.

How everything, everything He does has been for the purpose of your salvation, the redemption of your life, and the reconciliation of your soul. All by the blood of the Lamb, His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.

Have you not heard?

That His eternal plan for your life is good and right and true (Jeremiah 29:11). That Jesus has made the way for you to be secure and safe in Him. So you need not fear nor tremble at the way things are going right here and right now. You need not doubt. For you have a Father Who is good (Mark 10:18). And a Saviour Who is holy and right (Acts 3:14). Have you not heard?

How He sent His Son to die in your place. And that anyone who comes to Jesus, believing what He did was enough, is enough, and will be enough for them to be free, will be free indeed (John 8:36). Because He is the only way to life, through grace by faith (Romans 3:24,28). It has nothing to do with your doing and everything to do with what God has done (Ephesians 2:8)!

You need only to receive.

Oh, child, do not forget what you have heard. Remember His promises to you. They are good because He is good. Believe in Jesus and be saved (Acts 16:31)! Right here, right now. Trust in Him and be at peace (Isaiah 26:3)! Right here, right now. God is faithful. His promises are true. He is the Faithful and True One, faithful and true in all He does (Revelation 19:11). Right to the end.
