I Follow Him

I follow Christ.

The One Who gave up everything to come to earth as a baby, His power shown in humility.

The Man Who ran up the hillside to be alone with His Father, His strength shown in dependence.

The Leader Who washed His followers' feet, His leadership shown in service.

The Friend of sinners Who chose to call the sick and the lost to Himself, His grace shown in relationship.

The Shepherd Who knows His sheep by name, His care shown in the details.

The Teacher Who speaks only the Words of His Father, His teaching shown in submission.

The Crucified One Who did nothing to deserve death, His purpose shown in surrender.

The Buried One Who did not stay dead, His death shown in sufficiency.

The Risen One Who conquered the grave, His victory shown in life.

The Saviour Who sets free, His promise shown in salvation to all who would believe.

I follow Him.

The Way and the Truth and the Life, Who is and was and will always be. The Great I AM Who has shown Himself to me again and again as Emmanuel, God with me.

I follow Him.

The One Who chose me first. Who loved me first. Who calls me His own, and calls me to His side. So that I can choose Him. To follow Him. The One and only Saviour and God, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Christ Jesus my Lord. The LORD God Almighty is He!

I follow Him!
