You Can Always Run to Jesus

Do you see it as distress? Every moment of fear. Every anxious thought that turns to worry. Every trying situation that overwhelms. Every overwhelmingness that causes your anger rise. Every irritable emotion. Do you see it? It’s your sign of distress. Distress to your soul.

Those moments where peace has gone. Those emotions, when, in dwelling there, you know the absence of His peace. Every time. It is distress to your soul. Because when the Prince of Peace is not reigning, distress comes in as quickly and silently as the night, every time. Christ, Who is your life, is needed for life and peace, all the time. And when you try on your own, to work it out and stand your ground, you will only remain in that emotion and dwell in self-pity. It happens. Every time.

But, when you see it as distress, right to your soul, in that moment, and you see your distress as your cue to cry out for help, then you are open to receive from God, through Christ Jesus your Lord. Every time.

Yes! In your distress, when you run to Jesus, you will find His life and peace in abundance. All the time! Running to Jesus is where distress turns to freedom! Every time!

“In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” - Psalm 118:5-6 NLT
