You Know You Can’t

When you know what it is.

That you must do.
That must be done.
To overcome.

But it’s just so hard.
To take that step forward.
And you just can’t.

You know you can’t.

Consider yourself blessed.
Then.
The battle is won.
Then.

For if you hadn’t known what needed done.
If you hadn’t know what it was you couldn’t do.
If you hadn’t known your despair.
Then you wouldn’t know your need.
For Christ.

And to know your desparate need is to know your poverty.

Remember, blessed are the poor.
Yes, blessed are you.
Yours is the Kingdom of Heaven.

It’s where the battle is won.
It’s where you are blessed with Christ.
Where you know you can’t.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” - Matthew 5:3 ESV

“For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: ‘I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.’” - Isaiah 57:15 ESV
