Assuredly His!

If I tell you, “God is good and kind and safe.”
And it’s true.
I will leave you wanting to come to Him.
Because it’s how you will find rest in Him.

If I tell you, “God is mighty and faithful and forgiving.”
And it’s true.
I will leave you at peace.
Because it’s how you will trust Him.

If I tell you, “God is just and holy and righteous.”
And it’s true.
I will leave you secure in Him.
Because it’s how you will surrender to Him.

If I tell you, “God is Provider and Defender and Redeemer.”
And it’s true.
I will leave you assured of Him.
Because it’s how you will know Him.

But, if I tell you, “You are the problem.”
And it’s true.
I will leave you hopeless in yourself.
Because it’s how you will take your eyes off Him.

And if I tell you, “It is up to you.”
And it’s true.
I will leave you dependent on yourself.
Because it’s how you will keep away from Him.

Oh, it’s not true. It is not up to you. You are not the problem.

Do not turn your focus onto self. It will only rise up self in you and keep you away from Christ. Every time. When you take your eyes off Christ and onto self, Christ becomes distant. Every time.

But Christ’s death displayed His ultimate love for you (1 John 4:10). Christ’s death forgave you, making you right with Him (Romans 5:9). Christ’s death satisfied the wrath of God over you and gave you peace (Isaiah 53:5). Christ’s death defeated sin in you (Romans 6:6). He did this all for you so you can come to Him. Amen and amen!!

Yes and amen! It’s true! Let Christ rise up in you!! He is good and kind. He is safe to come to. He is mighty and faithful to forgive. He is just and holy and righteous. Always! He is your Provider, your Defender and your Redeemer. This is Christ Jesus, your Lord! The LORD God Almighty!!

You can come to Him, in peace, secure in Him alone, because you are assuredly His!
