What Gave You Everything
He is no stranger to pain and trouble. He is not distant to ridicule and disrespect. Nor is He fearful of breaking and surrendering. He is never cold-hearted to struggles and failures (Matthew 9:36, 14:14).
No, never.
He loves.
He does not compromise truth and righteousness. He does not judge unfairly or unjustly. Nor does He commit sin, for deceit is never found in Him. He never condemns or points out sin and wrong-doing (Psalm 103:12).
No, never.
He forgives.
Christ Jesus took your penalty.
Christ Jesus paid the price for your sin.
Christ Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice to take your sins away and make you clean.
He gave up everything for you to have Him.
“For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.” - Hebrews 10:10 NLT
Christ Jesus took upon His body every sin of the entire world. He took the penalty for every sin with His death on the Cross. His blood flowed freely, His life surrendered completely. He was buried, He was raised on the third day. He did this for you.
He “…endured the cross, despising the shame” (Hebrews 12:2). He emptied and humbled Himself (Philippians 2:7-8), wore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). He was despised and rejected by men (Isaiah 53:3), oppressed and afflicted (Isaiah 53:7). “In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10).
Christ Jesus did what was needed for you to be made right with Him, holy and redeemed. What cost Him everything, gave you everything - Christ Jesus Himself.
