Your Every Thought for Abundance

Let’s say your whole purpose in life was to know God. In every high and low. In every joy and tear. In every word and thought.

To know God.

Where nothing is by chance and everything is in His sovereign hand. Where nothing is belittled and everything is given value. Because He works all things for good, and He sees every tear and knows every thought, and He cares every time.

This is where no mistake is too far gone and every wrong-done is reconciled. Because you know God.

If this were it, if knowing God was your whole purpose, would life not be abundant then?

When your every thought is to see and to know and to walk with God. Because your every deed and every concern is given over to the God Who cares. Wouldn’t your life then have meaning and purpose and value? Would not your life be abundant? Then?

Oh, yes indeed! For that is the very essence of abundance. Seeing and knowing and being with the God of the universe. That is life in abundance indeed!

It’s why Jesus came (John 10:10). To give life in abundance by making a way for you to come to the Father. So that you could see and know and be with the God Who created you, and receive life. Jesus did it for you! He took the penalty for your sin (Isaiah 53:5). He paved the way to the Father by making you right with Him (Romans 5:21). He covered you, sheltered you, surrounded you, loved you.

Oh, that God would not slip from your thoughts. Let it not be.

Instead, let every thought, every deed, and every motive of the heart be God. God and God alone. Jesus and Jesus alone. The One Who created everything (Colossians 1:16). The One Who came down for you, that you may live forever (John 6:51). The One Who deserves all praise and glory and honour and might (Revelation 5:12).

Christ Jesus is His name! And when your deepest thoughts, your every thought, and your biggest concerns, your every concern, along with your trivial deeds, your every deed, are all given to and for Jesus. Then it happens. Abundant life happens, because Christ’s Life reigns in you!

And praise happens, because your every thought is His and your whole being and every cause are committed all to Him!

“Oh LORD Almighty! You know those who are righteous, and you examine the deepest thoughts of hearts and minds… I have committed my cause to you. Now, I will sing out my thanks to the LORD! Praise the LORD! For though I was poor and needy, he delivered me from my oppressors.” - Jeremiah 20:12-13 NLT 1996

“Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will be also.” - Matthew 6:21 NLT
