Let Him Change You

Allow Christ to change you. From the inside out.

Let His mercy consume you. After His disciples rallied for position, creating indignation among themselves, “Jesus called them together” to gently remind them that among them it should be different; the one who wants to be a leader must be a servant (Matthew 20:25).

Let His compassion impact you. When the people kept coming, not giving Him time to be alone, Jesus “had compassion on them and healed their sick.” And when they became hungry, He proclaimed, “They do not need to go away”, and He fed them until they were satisfied (Matthew 14:20).

Let His healing amaze you. When questioned again and again how he received his sight, his simple response was, “Now I see.” That was all he knew until Jesus found him and showed him Who He was so he could believe (John 9:38).

Let His grace protect you. When she stood condemned, surrounded by her accusers, fearful of death, Jesus stood with her and proclaimed His salvation over her, refusing to throw the first stone of judgment (John 8:9).

Let His forgiveness mold you. After Jesus cried out, “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing”, even though the soldiers and the whole crowd mocked Jesus, the one hanging beside Him heard the forgiveness being offered and acknowledged his need, entering into abundance with Christ that day (Luke 23:43).

Let His love stir you. When the one who bled for 12 years reached out to touch Him (Matthew 9:22). When the children were brought to Him (Mark 10:13). When the lepers and the blind called out out to Him (Matthew 20:31). When the paralyzed man was lowered through the roof in order to get to Him (Luke 5:19). When their brother was sick and the sisters called for Him (John 11:3). When your heart aches the most and you cry to Him in distress (Psalm 18:6), Jesus’ heart is moved deeply and His reponse is love, every time.

Because that’s how Christ moves. In mercy and grace, through healing and compassion, by forgiveness and love.  He makes newness arise from death (Romans 6:4), changing you from the inside out. Let Him change you.
