The Same that Changes You So

It’s because you do the same, you’ve done the same, and you will do the very same again and again that it bothers you so. And it’s because you see the same in the ones you love. The very same struggles and snares that you’ve gone through, that you’ve wrestled with and struggled in.

That it bothers you so.

But then, it’s because He does the same, has done the same and will do the very same again and again that it changes you so. And it’s because you see the same given to the ones you love. The very same grace and mercy that you’ve been given, that you’ve received abundantly and marvelled in.

That it changes you so.

All those mistakes and hard things. All those pardons and gracious things. All that shame and guilt, them regrets and embarassing moments that you are concerned about and fall into despair over. Then all that forgiveness and assurance, them broken chains and salvation moments that you are amazed about and fall into life over.

They are what bother you, then change you so. Because you see Him so.

For there is One Who is Life! He came to earth to give you life from all the death that bothers you so. He came to give you His Life and change you so. You can be sure of it. Oh, yes, you can be sure!

He gives you freedom from what binds. Every time. Life from death. All the time. Peace within the storm, no more on your own. For eternal time. It’s His Life that changes you so because of the grace of God that stays the same.

Because you do the same, you’ve done the exact same, and you will do the very same again. But the Father loved you so that He sent His Son to be your Saviour (John 3:16, 1 John 4:14). Yes! The Father does the same, has done the same, and will do the very same again. Amazing grace that stays the same!

So you can be changed.

Remain there, in the grace and mercy of God, in the same that changes you so!
