From Weakness to Strength- It is Good, So Good!

It’s going to show you just how weak you really are. That trial and circumstance. That heartache and pain. That hard thing you have to go through on this journey we call life; it will eventually show you your weakness. There’s no way around it. Relationships and peers. Family and friends. Losses and bankruptcies. Failures and falls. Hurts and fears. Frustrations and regrets. Pressures and expectations. They eventually show you your weakness.

For what starts as something to conquer and make right by your own strength and the will-power to get through, eventually turns into something to despair over, where only God can turn to good. And when you are there, where you know you can’t, then those hard things, they show you just how weak you really are so that you are able to surrender your every effort. It’s where God will show you that your strength really is your weakness.

And it is good.

Recognizing your strength as your weakness is how your weakness turns to strength.

Yes, because when you know your weakness, you allow God in. It’s true, you can only let God in when you know how weak you really are. And when you let God in, that’s when you are strong (2 Corinthians 12:10). When you acknowledge your need for God’s grace to lift you up and fill you up, that’s when you are perfected in His strength (2 Corinthians 12:9). And when you find yourself in the too much of life, and know your desperate need for Him alone, seeking always for Him, that’s when His presence becomes your strength and is always enough (Isaiah 43:2). Always! All because you know how weak you really are and how mighty God really is. That trial and circumstance. That heartache and pain. That hard thing you get to surrender over to Him on this journey that is life; it will eventually show you His strength, always enough for you.

There’s every reason to believe it!

Because it’s true, God has paved the way for you who knows your weakness. As you surrender every hard thing to Him, His strength becomes your strength. And it is good, so good!
