The Abundance of His Goodness

When you don’t know what to do with the abundance of His goodness. How it keeps coming again and again, more and more, because your eyes are open to see Him, and you are open to receive from Him. So His abundance is so evident.

For you’ve surrendered to receive from Him, and He’s given you eyes to see Him and His goodness. And you don’t know what to do with it. Do you fall down in worship or stand up in praise? Do you stand back in awe or draw close in wonder? Do you resist His goodness or surrender to it? For receiving from Him is always a surrender.

And when you are there, with eyes open to see His goodness and a life open to receive His goodness, you won’t know what to do with it, with the overwhelming feeling of more that follows. You won’t know what to do.

The abundant life, the overflowing life, the Life of Christ Jesus alive and well within you, surrendering, submitting, letting go, being still, abiding in turmoil, resting within the storm, stopping at the crossroad. In all this, His abundance is overwhelmingly more than enough for you, and you won’t know what to do when it keeps coming, for you just keep receiving.

But perhaps that is where you are supposed to be. Perhaps that is the abundance of abundant life that He has come to give. Where you do not know the next thing to do, but you do know how to receive because you know of His goodness and His mercy, and you just keep receiving. And that is enough, in fact, more than enough!
