Real Life, Measured

We cannot judge the outward, looking at what is visible to satisfy, when we do not fully know the inward.

We cannot judge the value and purpose of life, looking at the desires of a heart to justify, when we do not fully know the heart.

Because we cannot judge the outward without knowing the inward. We cannot judge the value and purpose of life without knowing all of Life, the Reality where God reigns. We cannot. We cannot. We cannot. Only God can.

Only God can raise the dead (John 11:43), break every chain (Acts 12:7), feed the hungry (Matthew 15:36), satisfy the thirsty (John 4:14), conquer the grave (1 Corinthians 15:55), defeat the enemy (Acts 2:35), comfort the hurting (2 Corinthians 1:3-4), calm the storm (Luke 8:24), quiet the anxious (Psalm 131), strengthen the weary (Isaiah 40:31), and give life to the poor, the weak and the meek (Matthew 5:3-5). Only God knows and gives all of life, for only He is Life.

And only God can judge life. The value and purpose and satisfaction of life is all God’s territory. Only God can measure real life.

And we can praise. We can be grateful. We can look up to the One Who can and does and knows all. It’s how we can live in the Reality of God, where Christ Jesus is in full view. And we can know Life, Christ Jesus Himself!

Because Christ is life, and that is Reality. Real life is life with Jesus, walking hand in Hand with your Saviour!

And what we have and do not have no longer matters. What we know and do not know no longer matters. All that matters is life with the One Who saved your soul for all of eternity, and Who promises never to leave you alone. With Him by your side, complete satisfaction is the Reality of Christ’s Life in you.

This is life in abundance, indeed, where real life is measured!
