What the Almighty can do!

So you’re stuck on what you’ve done wrong, that you could have, should have, would have done better, if only you’d have known better. And you’re stuck on the impossible, with every failure of sin shouting loud and clear, “You’ll never ever get better. It is impossible.” And the lie holds you captive.

Now wait a minute! Is it not God Who has done the impossible in setting the captives free, every single one of them, including you?

God has done it!

So now, do not lose sight of what God has done. He has set you free! Do not lose sight of what the Almighty can do! He “…is able to do far more abundantly than all that [you] ask or think, according to the power at work within [you]” (Ephesians 3:20), making you right in His eyes! Christ’s Spirit within you, this power from on high (Ephesians 3:16), is at work within you. He has made His home in you who believed on the Son of God. “Your body is [now] a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God…” (1 Corinthians 6:19). God Almighty has done this! Do not lose sight of what He has done. Do not lose sight of what He can do!

For “..You are not your own, …you were bought with a price...” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). The very price of the life of the Son of God Who bled for you, died for you, and came alive for you, to set you free. He paid the penalty for your sins, defeating the power of death over you and giving you life, a life of peace and joy and calm amidst the storms, amidst the failures that scream, “Impossible!”

Because when you gain sight of what He has done and when your sight turns to what He can do, then, and only then, will you be set free, free to allow God to do the impossible in you.

So now you’re stuck on what He’s done right, that He could have, would have, and should have your every thought, your every praise, your very life, if only He’d be all to you. And you’re stuck on the possible, with every promise of God assuring you right where you are that “God has done it! It is finished!” And the Truth sets you free!

“Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!” (Psalm 146:1). This is what the Almighty can do!
