First, God

The first order of business, God. Do you believe there is God? And, do you believe He is good?

This is the first order of business.

For everything in life stems from this. Everything of value and purpose and meaning. Everything of energy and life and motivation. That God is, and He is good, is everything for life and godliness. But, do you believe this?

It is the first order of business.

For if you can’t start there, if you can’t begin with God, then you can’t start anywhere. Oh, it’s true. All the chaos of mankind trying to solve the world’s problems, and all the mistakes done in the process. All the uncertainty of life going this way and that, and all the anxiety it gives. It all results in death and despair when God is not in the picture.

So first, God.

And when, by faith, God is brought in, whether in that glimpse of desparate faith attacked by doubt, or in that for-sure knowing God is God yet threatened by fear, then you can count on it! When God is brought in by faith, then God is first, and life is. His Life is!

Because it’s the cry of every child of His. That grasp for truth, to stand on something more than what this world offers. That cry for allegiance right to the heart, to stand for something more meaningful than this world promises. It’s the longing of every child of faith. Faith in the Son of God to make right what went wrong. Faith in the God of the Universe to care for His created. Faith in what cannot be seen or understood or fully known. But still, faith.

That God is God, and He knows and loves you. And His life is, in abundance, your very life!

Because first, God!
