Your Seeking to Find
Now you, do not forget Jesus. In your seeking of Him, do not forget Him. It happens too easily. In your longing to know Him, you replace knowing for knowledge. In your desire for Him, you welcome tasks over stillness. In your wanting to seek Him, you add means and methods to the Way instead of simply coming to Him, as a child. It happens.
When you forget Him, the One Whom all your longing and desire and wanting is for. In your striving and your learning and advancing, you forget Jesus. When He never asked for such things, He never promised such things, He never gave such things, to satisfy you. No. Because He knows they won’t.
He promised if you seek, you will find. But only in the seeking as for water when the mouth is parched. Only in the deep longing of heart, soul and mind as when they are found completely empty. Only in the searching for Living Water so as to satisfy when everything else all around you only causes you to thirst again. Only then, with that kind of seeking, will you find.
Because then, only then, will you not forget Jesus. In the thirsting, in the longing, in the deep seeking, Jesus becomes everything. And your seeking of Him becomes for only Him.
Only Him. Always in the simplicity of only Him.
“Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it." (Mark 10:15)
It’s about the receiving, as a child. It’s about the coming, as a child. And the wanting and the desiring, the longing and the seeking. Of Jesus only. For it’s about you, as a child, finding Jesus. That’s it. That’s all.
“And [Jesus] took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.” (Mark 10:16)
Where the One Who truly satisfies is truly found.
