What Needs The Stage
It’s not your sin that needs emphasizing so as to be pointed out. It’s not your every failure that needs remembering so as to be re-enacted over and over again in your mind. No. It’s not what you did wrong that needs the stage for you to be set free. It’s solely what He did right that needs remembering, that needs proclaiming and announcing, that needs to be thought on and lived by. What Christ did right is what needs the stage.
All that Christ did right in making you whole, in loving you unconditionally, in putting you where you are, traveling with you wherever you go, and hearing your every cry. How he became the pure and spotless Sacrifice for you. This is what needs remembering and proclaiming. Right to your very soul! His grace. His mercy. His love. Proven at the Cross where His blood was poured out, for you.
Oh, how He loves you! He came for you, to die for you, to be with you. Oh, how much He loves you!
It’s what Christ did right in making you right that’ll make your soul cry out, “Hallelujah!”
That’ll give you freedom, deeper and deeper, more and more.
That’ll bring you closer, draw you nearer, and set you freer in Christ Jesus your Lord!
So when the guilt of wrong choices and bad attitudes overwhelms you, stop. You need to hear it again. How God did it right. That’s right!
For He sovereignly orders your every day to bless your every moment with His Presence.
So when you’re doing that drudgery, and your desires scream out, “Not fair!” When you’re doing the unspeakable, and your sin screams out, “Guilty as charged!” When you’re tired and you’re grumpy, when you’re depressed and you’re fearful. And everything inside of you screams out, “Impossible!” And what you’ve done wrong takes the stage once again. You need to hear it again. He did it right. That’s right!
God did it right. God does it right. God will do it right.
All through Christ Jesus your Lord! It’s where you are set free indeed, saved, delivered, washed clean, all because Christ took the stage.
Amen, He is faithful! Amen, He is worthy!
