Christ’s Enough
So you say you’re not enough. Not doing enough. Not being enough. Not quick enough. Because you’re not capable enough. Always, not enough.
But since when are you supposed to be enough? Since when? God is the One Who is enough. And in Christ Jesus, God has made you enough. So those not-enough feelings you feel, those not-enough situations you’re in, and all those not-enough people you’re surrounded by. They are all intended to take your eyes off of all that not-enough, and onto the more-than-enough of Christ. Because He is always enough.
Yes, Christ is your enough!
He has made you enough. Enough to be loved by Him. Enough to be cherished by Him. Enough to be called His own. Enough to be forgiven by Him. Enough to be set free and made whole by Him. Enough to be the recipient of His grace and mercy and love. He made you enough for Him. And that’s what really matters!
So you cannot say you are not enough. No. You cannot go down that path of false humility where everything is your fault, and you are not worthy enough to receive grace. It’s the pathway of pride, being ashamed for not measuring up, for not being enough, because you think it’s up to you. But it is not true! No! You cannot say you are not enough for Christ! Christ is always enough for your not enough, and He is in you. His very life is in you.
Yes, you who have been crucified with Christ. You no longer live, but Christ lives in you. Remember, Christ loved you and gave himself for you (Galatians 2:20).
Your humility must be there, knowing Christ’s enough. Agreeing you were made enough through Christ’s enough alone. Being humble enough to agree that only Christ is enough in you, for you. Not your one self. Never! Only Christ! That is humility.
Thank You, LORD Jesus! You have made me enough. Thank You, LORD Jesus, You are enough! Always enough!
