God Can!

Wait!

You cannot remove that guilt or erase that shame. You cannot make right what is wrong, set free what is bound, or redeem what is lost. No, you cannot, you cannot, you cannot. No. And whether the wrong be in this world, or the lost be those you love, or the shame be right there within you, still you cannot make right, save, or remove. You cannot.

But, oh, do you see it? That is where the joy of the LORD begins! Exactly where you cannot. It’s true! Because God never asks you to do what you cannot. He only asks you to bring what you cannot to Him, and let Him do what you cannot.

So let the ‘cannots’ of life come, because you know Who can, and that is enough. Knowing Who can is really enough.

The God of this universe, the One Who put life in place. The Almighty God of this life, the One Who put time and eternity in place. The Omnipotent God of this time and for all of eternity, the One Who put you in place. This God, He can!

He can remove the guilt and bury the shame. He can open the eyes and reveal the truth. He can free the captives and loosen the chains. He can redeem His world and love His creation, including you. God can, God can, God can!

So now, what are you waiting for?

Rejoice now! This is where the joy of the LORD begins! The joy of His salvation for you! God will do it, He will restore unto you the joy of His salvation!

You just keep bringing it all to Him, to the One Who can!
