Only Grace
You can tell it. When the words spoken, the lessons taught, and the deeds performed are only hard and so calloused. You can tell it. There is no grace.
You can tell it. When the answer given, the doctrine justified, and the theory explained are only reasoned through and rationalized. You can tell it. There is no grace.
You can tell it. When every action done, every motivation to do so, and every reason why all begin and end in guilt. You can tell it. That there is no grace.
It’s when the convincing begins and the persuading never stops. When the proving of what is right must be done by the pointing out of what is wrong. Then you know it, for you can tell it. There is no grace.
There is no grace.
When a soul believes it is up to them to stand the ground and play the part and do the good, because of their guilt. There is no grace. Ever.
But when grace enters in, oh, you can tell it! Because grace saves, not by works, but by receiving (Ephesians 2:8-9). And only by receiving does softening happen. Only by receiving will understanding lose its importance, and revelation come in abundance, for guilt has lost its hold. Grace itself tells it, for grace tells of the greatness of God!
Only grace will cause you to draw nearer, long for Him only, and rest richly in His presence. Every moment of every day. Grace will do to you what you could never do on your own, it will cause you to pour out grace in abundance. Because that’s exactly what’s been given to you.
For it’s only by grace that you will be justified. God’s grace is His gift to you (Romans 3:24). Receive it today!
